Module Overview:

This unit aims to provide a critical overview of major global health challenges. It examines definitions of global health before exploring the key determinants of health. The course then critically examines different approaches to addressing global health and development more broadly, including the MDGs, SDGs, Social Determinants of Health, and Health System Strengthening approaches. The interface between policy, practice and research is examined throughout the course. The final part of the course applies this learning to the issue of food security.
