Module Overview:

Theunit will be delivered with a series of nine lectures. The lectures will be bookended with sessions about research philosophy and conceptual analysis of research processes, challenges and design. The remaining seven lectures will each focus on a particular method. The unit will explore the origins and discourses of each method as well as the practicalities of including it in research design and the opportunities and challenges inherent within this. These method-focussed lectures will be taken by different members of HCRI staff with expertise in the use of method in question. As such each lecturer will be able to discuss the method academically and in relation to their own research as it links to humanitarianism.
